Just a little update…

I feel that I had a fairly decent week. I really didn’t eat bad and I did work out 3 days this week. My sister and I played tennis last night and it was quite a work out! I will just say this though—we are not good! But hey, all that matters is that we are burning calories and having fun! So–if anyone has tennis pointers for beginners–shoot them my way!

I think my biggest struggle with dieting right now is making myself bring food to work. It is hard trying to plan lunch and having to cook it/pack it the night before. I guess it is not really HARD—just more that I am LAZY! :)

I also know that if I do not take my workout clothes with me to work each morning, I then have to go home to change and I am REAL good at finding other things to do rather than go to the gym! Even things that aren’t fun–like laundry and cleaning. I have go to push myself a little harder.

Well, I guess that is enough blogging for now–back to work! :)

I’ve been on my current weight loss journey for over 60 weeks now – I know all about lazy – I’m still not really excerising the way I should. I keep breakfast and lunch simple and the same during the week so I can “sleepwalk” through morning work preparation. It helps having it all set up and just ready to grab in the morning with no fuss. Hope to see an update soon! We are all cheering for you. Health and Happiness, Lady Rose

Where’ve you been, girlfriend?? In your honor, I’m heading out for a jog. Hope to hear what you’ve been up to!

I know all about the lazy! :D Lazy and I are good friends, although I’m hoping to kick Lazy to the curb ASAP.

I’ve taken to making sure I have some healthy grab-n-go stuff in the cupboards for those mornings that hitting the snooze button is more attractive than putting lunch together. I also explored the neighbourhood around work to find some places that sell “less bad” lunch options if I need to buy – I’d rather go to the deli and get a sandwich and cookie than the corner store for all junk!

Hoping you reappear and beat Lazy off soon!

Oh I know what you mean…I wish dieting and organising balanced meals and snacks was easy..but unfortunately it does take time and commitment…and when you are working as well it is too easy just to go to the nearest cafe and order a big piece of carrot cake with double cream (my number 1 temptation) but keep at it. it will get easier the more you are in the practice of it…I am not yet…but trying to be more proactive about my meals and nutrition intake.
you can do it…as can I…we just have to stick together and encourage one another. :)

Do you have a Trader Joe’s in your area? I buy their salads to bring for lunch, and it really works out well. You have to be careful about which ones you choose, because some of them are more fattening than a cheeseburger, but many are low cal and really filling. I love them!

Man, I am the exact same way! I even sometimes insist that I am too tired even when I bring my workout clothes with me to work. Eh, we all have these days, just don’t let them pile up, haha.

And as far as food goes (once again, I’m totally too lazy to cook too!), it’s summer, and no one wants to cook, so I say pre-made salad mix it! Or take in a frozen dinner, Lean Cuisine has some really great meals right now in their spa line. Very tasty and lazy approved!

Hope to read a new post soon, and keep up the great work!
